After 43 years, and after suffering a tremendous amount of loss in life, I was given one of life’s most precious gifts, another life. I’d never conceived before and had already written off my ability to naturally have children at this later stage in life, it was not even a thought. So this was a total surprise which was not planned. But, through the course of this pregnancy, I have discovered a deep appreciation for being given this chance considering how hard it is for some who are less fortunate. I couldn’t have even asked for a more precious gift and I couldn’t be sharing this with anyone better than Kyle. I can’t wait to see how this kid falls in love with their father. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s been one of the scariest and most difficult times of our lives as I have been having a high-risk pregnancy. In addition to my advanced age, I have had some rare medical complications that have made this a very rough road for the last 3 months. All shock aside, regardless of how this turns out, this child will be my only and will always be treasured. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I enter the second trimester, I have seen how my baby has slipped through some very narrow cracks, statistically, and has continued to thrive and blossom without any issues so far. I could not be more lucky and grateful for that and I have never been so excited to meet someone. August can’t come soon enough!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
